Under the patronage of Sidon Municipality, ISWA successfully hosted its second annual food festival at Muntazah Saida Al Baladi.
Engineer Bassem Saad, the general manager, delivered a heartfelt speech emphasizing the importance of partnerships between the municipality and local organizations. He highlighted the park’s transformation from a vacant plot of land into a beloved community space serving residents from Sidon, neighboring towns, and even as far as Beirut. Saad expressed the organization’s unwavering commitment to hope amidst challenging times, extending warm greetings to the people of southern Lebanon, from Sidon to the border villages and Gaza.
Following the honoring of Sidon’s mayor, Dr. Badieh, the festival’s program commenced and continued until midnight. The event will run until Sunday evening.
This year’s food festival holds special significance as the city and its people face difficult circumstances. The event aimed to foster a sense of community and solidarity. Over 43 participants expressed their satisfaction with the well-organized event, hoping it would bring prosperity to the city and its residents.
